Tender on feasibility study of a 5 GW solar corridor in South Africa

The Central Energy Fund of South Africa invites interested parties to submit a tender for the provision of services to support the “Feasibility study of a 5 GW solar corridor in South Africa with phase 1 (1 GW) on the Upington Solar Park”
The Government of South Africa, through the Department of Energy, commissioned a Pre-Feasibility Study for the establishment of a Solar Park in South Africa. This was presented to and approved by Cabinet in July 2010. Cabinet gave the go-ahead to conduct a feasibility study and the project was subsequently transferred to CEF to manage this component of the project.
